Klapec Trucking Company is seeking a dependable and skilled Diesel Technician / Mechanic to support our fleet maintenance operations. This role is critical to keeping our trucks safe, reliable, and on the road.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced shop environment where attention to detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to stay organized are key. From inspections and repairs to inventory tracking and customer interaction, this position plays a major role in maintaining our high standards.

Perform inspections to ensure quality control and fleet reliability
Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and repair documentation
Monitor inventory levels, parts, and shop supplies
Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
Handle customer inquiries and service-related communication professionally
Support overall shop operations to minimize downtime and keep trucks moving
Experience working with semi-trucks, trailers, or heavy-duty equipment
Strong knowledge of diesel repair and maintenance procedures
Familiarity with air brake systems, diagnostics, and general vehicle maintenance
Experience with shocks/struts, wheel alignment, and tire services
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced shop
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable using computer systems for service writing and inventory tracking
CDL and Inspection License (preferred but not required)
